The Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in South-Eastern Europe, within the European Union funded project: “Fostering regional cooperation and balanced territorial development of Western Balkan countries in the process towards EU integration”, will support the organization of the regional manifestation “Osmomartovska daroteka – The sounds, tastes and smells of tradition from the cross-border region of Drina-Sava”. This manifestation will be organized by the Cluster ”Sveti Dimitrije” from Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia and will be held in the period from 6-8 March, 2017 in Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia.
The aim of this manifestation is promotion and increased income from the local products such as wine, brandy, handicrafts, honey and honey-products, medical creams, tea and souvenirs originating from the cross-border region of Drina-Sava.
The specific objective of this regional manifestation is to increase cooperation and enhance the knowledge and capacities of local producers and service providers in the tourism sector through organization of round table session on the topic “Strengthening the tourism turnover in local communities”.
This regional manifestation will additionally contribute to promotion of the tourism potential of the cross-border region of “Drina-Sava”. It will also strengthen the communication and cooperation between the stakeholders’ operation in the cross-border region.
