The Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in South-Eastern Europe within the project: “Rural development through integrated forest and water resources management in Southeast Europe: Rural perspectives: qualification, reintegration and (self) employment” will support the organization of the Event 19th “Lim Regatta” which will be organized by Tourist Organization of Prijepolje in partnership with Tourist Organization of Bijelo Polje and which will be held in the period from 01.06.2018 till 03.06.2018 in Bijelo Polje (MNE) and Prijepolje (SER) as a part of the regatta event from Plav-Andrijevica-Berane -Bijelo Polje (MNE) -Prijepolje(SER).
Lim river connects North of Montenegro with Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. For three days every year, rafters and other water-sports enthusiasts gather to navigate through 134km, as a part of Lim river from its source in Plav in Montenegro to Prijepolje in Serbia. The start of this year’s sports-tourism manifestation is in Plav Municipality in Montenegro on June 1st and ends two days later in Petrovac beach in Prijepolje, Serbia. On the first day, the rafters will pass the route through Plav-Andrijevica-Berane, in the length of 46 kilometers and it will last for about 6 hours. The second day is reserved for the route from Berane to Bijelo Polje, in the length of 48 kilometers, and it will last for about 7 hours. On the third day, the participants will cross the route from Bijelo Polje to Petrovac beach in Prijepolje. This route is about 40 kilometers long, and the participants will pass it for about 6 hours. Every year this manifestation gathers more fans of this extreme sport from Serbia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Austria.
