“Folklore to reconciliation”, 16th June 2018, Lopare Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in South-Eastern Europe within the project: “Rural development through integrated forest and water resources management in Southeast Europe: Rural perspectives: qualification, reintegration and (self) employment” will support the organization of the Event “Folklore to reconciliation” which will be organized by JU “Centar za kulturu i informisanje Lopare” and which will be held on the 16.06.2018 in Lopare, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The aim of this regional event is promotion of traditional, gastronomic and cultural heritage of the cross-border region “Drina-Sava” through organization of an “evening of folklore” where participants from three countries Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia will participated.  Additionally, to that, participants will have the opportunity to taste local products and traditional gastronomy. On this way small farm producers will have the opportunity to gain additional income and to promote their products.

The specific objective of this regional event is networking between the participants from all three countries from the cross-border region “Drina-Sava” and promotion of traditional and cultural heritage of the cross-border region “Drina-Sava”

This regional event will contribute promotion of culture heritage of the cross-border region “Drina-Sava” through performing traditional songs and dances from all three countries involved, while for the members of folklore groups will have the opportunity to establish regional cooperation.
