The manifestation “Networking of “LAGs” in the cross-border region “Drina-Sava”, organized by the NGO “Local Action Group Bosutski niz” and its partners the NGO “Ruralni centar Sova” and the NGO “Lag Srem +”, resulted with implementation of two workshops organized in Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia and in Nijemci, Croatia.

The workshops contributed to the strengthening of the networking and cooperation among members of the “Drina-Sava” stakeholder group from Croatia and Serbia. The sessions were used for exchange of experiences between the LAGs and presenting experiences in applying for IPARD calls. Also, example of good practices and results of implemented projects in agriculture households have been visited.

Special focus was given on the business to business meetings where possible cooperation was discussed. The discussion was focused on creation of an opportunity for achievement of greater and wider cooperation in the sectors of tourism, agriculture and food industry, as well as to initiate economic benefit for the local population in the cross-border region of “Drina-Sava”.

This activity is part of the European Union funded project: “Fostering regional cooperation and balanced territorial development of Western Balkan countries in the process towards EU integration” implemented by the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in South-Eastern Europe.
