XII Drina Regatta “Drina Slalom” is a traditional manifestation organized with the aim to contribute to development of touristic offer, to promote touristic potentials of the Drina River and the region and to gather those who like water sports and particularly the Drina River.
Bratunac regatta has been organized since 2007 and is the third important manifestation in the region apart from the famous Bajina Basta and Ljubovija regatta. This year event brought together more than 700 participants from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, Slovenia, Germany, Austria and Holland and over 100 vessels along 26 km long regatta.
In the scope of the event were organized competitions in beach soccer, beach volleyball, basket, water jumps as well as games in the “Adrenaline Park ” in Bratunac. The event attracted a great
public and media attention. The regatta is organized by Eco- rafting club Rajska plaza in partnership with Municipality of Bratunac and Tourist Organization of Bratinac.
The event is supported by the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in South-Eastern Europe within the GIZ project: “Rural development through integrated forest and water resources management in Southeast Europe: Rural perspectives: qualification, reintegration and (self) employment”.
