The aim of this regional event – Transfer of knowledge and experience in beekeeping in the cross-border region “Drina-Tara” is improvement of the beekeeping sector in the region through organization of lectures and workshops, promotion at fairs and participation at similar events in the region.

The objective of this regional event is exchange of experience, transfer of know-how and gaining new knowledge for beekeepers from Montenegro, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and creating and strengthening links between agriculture and tourism in the cross-border region of “Drina-Tara”.

This event will contribute to improvement of competitiveness and further development and improvement of beekeeping as an economic activity, which contributes to the socio-economic development and environmental protection, as well as improvement of the touristic offer.

This activity is part of the European Union funded project: “Fostering regional cooperation and balanced territorial development of Western Balkan countries in the process towards EU integration” implemented by the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in South-Eastern Europe.
